SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Vice President of Enrollment Management, the Assistant Vice President for ERP Implementation (Functional Area) provides project management leadership in the planning and delivering of the Workday Student project. The Assistant Vice President oversees functional workstream leaders across the Registrar, Admissions, Financial Aid, Student Accounts, Academic Affairs, and any other end-user of the module. This end-to-end project manager role ensures project outcomes become part of normal business operations.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· ● Facilitates prompt decision-making to ensure project timelines are met.
· ● Serves as 1st level escalation from Functional Leads for issues/risks and change requests.
· ● Coordinates overall business team activities and manages business team(s) work stream.
· ● Works with IT and vendor project managers to manage project scope/timeline/budget, status reports, and steering committee materials.
· ● Works with functional areas to ensure adequate support/back-fill.
· ● Contributes to the development of risk mitigation strategies.
· ● Signs off on scope, requirements, and user acceptance testing.
· ● Ensures buy-in of affected business areas.
· ● Provide regular updates to the steering committee.
· ● Organizes internal/external resources to ensure the project’s successful completion.
· ● Ensures commitment and availability of business unit(s) resources during the project.
· ● Engages internal/external subject matter ability, as necessary.
· ● Identifies functional “showstoppers” and adjusts priorities as proper to focus on Day 1 critical functionality.
· ● Recommends and operationalizes process improvements to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
· ● Updates project sponsors and steering committee on project progress and finds areas for improvement.
· ● Manages interdependencies across all functional areas and projects
· ● Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED:
· ● Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
· ● A minimum of seven (7) years of experience as a functional manager in Registrar, Financial Aid, Student Accounts, and/or Provost operations.
· ● A minimum of three (3) years of PE implementation experience.
· ● Demonstrated experience managing scope, timeline, and budget for large strategic business projects.
· ● Strong analytical, time management, and critical thinking skills.
· ● Strong communication and collaboration skills.
PREFERRED:
· ● At least three (3) years of experience with Ellucian Banner, PeopleSoft, or Workday Student
