Coordinate all material change management activities with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, Purchasing, Supplier, Quality/Validation, etc) and lead/direct required actions from concept to implementation

Identify, evaluate, and implement Kaizen improvements to metal parts and materials, ex: BIW stamped parts.

Establish test plans, perform, or direct testing using in-house or out-sourced resources. Write technical reports to communicate the progress or evaluation judgment.

Identify and define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.

Communicate with counterparts in Japan and Mexico and local design engineering groups.

Domestic and International travel may be required.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related field; 3 to 5 years of experience in related field

Cross-functional project management experience is required.

Stamping tooling feasibility experience desirable

Steel, aluminum or general metallurgical knowledge including testing methods and equipment, production process control, metallurgical alloy design, etc. desirable

Direct experience with problem analysis and root cause investigation, such as FTA, and product development and failure prevention, such as FMEA.

Experience with design release and drawing creation desirable.

Basic knowledge of Automotive Development process

High motivation and capacity to work on multiple projects with excellent communication/interpersonal skills required; experience working in a multicultural environment desired.
