POSITION SUMMARY:
You'll participate in our interdisciplinary approach while simultaneously leading by example and setting only the highest standards. Responsible for selling and expanding our hospice services to physicians, hospitals, and long-term care facilities. As a Hospice Liaison/Marketer, you will be in the position of generating new referrals while also managing existing referrals from target prospects and current accounts in your designated territory. The Hospice Liaison’s key referral sources will be physician offices, skilled nursing institutions, assisted living facilities, and hospitals. This position demands the ability to establish confidence and trust in referring doctors and patients, as well as discover development prospects, while collaborating closely with operational and clinical leadership to ensure quality commitments are met.

FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide in-services and presentations on our services to referral sources.
- Build professional connections with physicians, care facilities, and other clients.
- Collaborate with agency leaders on marketing and sales strategies.
- Build and maintain excellent connections with referral sources.
- Plan regular visits to referral sources within a defined market.
- Develop quarterly sales strategy.
- Proactively sell available services to clients, consumers, and healthcare facilities.
- Monitor local sales market and address potential concerns that may damage business partnerships and contracts.
- Create business proposals, statements of work, bids, and contracts.
- Visit potential client sites and facilities near the office.
- Manage office administrative relationships, such as pricing, margins, overhead, and expenses.
- Comply with state health care requirements, federal and state laws/regulations, wage payment legislation, ACHC standards, and corporate objectives.
- Collaborates with the Clinical Director to achieve optimal clinical outcomes for all clients, including discharges and admissions.
- Develop strong relationships and influence important decision makers.
- Build and develop relationships with potential clients to ensure our service meets and exceeds their expectations.
- Provide leads for potential outside sales prospects and follow-up sales activities.
- Achieve quarterly growth targets by meeting or exceeding sales quotas and identifying new possibilities.
- Offer educational services to possible referral sources.
- Regularly communicate with case managers, discharge planners, and physician office personnel to develop a referral network through formal and informal presentations.
- Attending hospital case manager/discharge planner meetings/case conferences to discuss patient care and provide education on changes in home health care guidelines.
Work schedule: Mon - Fri, variable times depending on schedules agreed on by HHA and individual Medvista Healthcare clients.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Exhibit positive attitude and great communication skills.
- Proficient in problem-solving and business acumen.
- Have a valid driver's license and insurance.
- Requires at least six months of home health/marketing experience and a proven track record of fulfilling sales targets.
- Understands the hospice philosophy and issues of death and dying.
