As a Power BI Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing Power BI solutions that meet the business needs of our organization. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements, design data models, develop interactive dashboards, and ensure data accuracy and reliability. Additionally, you will provide guidance on best practices for data visualization and analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solution Design: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their reporting and analytics requirements, and design end-to-end Power BI solutions that address their needs.
- Data Modeling: Develop efficient data models that optimize data storage and retrieval for Power BI reporting, ensuring scalability and performance.
- Dashboard Development: Design and develop interactive and visually compelling dashboards and reports using Power BI Desktop, incorporating advanced features such as DAX calculations, custom visuals, and drill-down capabilities.
- Data Integration: Integrate data from various sources (e.g., databases, APIs, flat files) into Power BI, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
- Performance Tuning: Optimize Power BI reports and dashboards for improved performance, including query optimization, data compression, and indexing.
- Governance and Security: Implement data governance and security measures within Power BI, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI functionality, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Proven experience (8yrs) as a Power BI Developer or Architect, with expertise in designing and implementing Power BI solutions.
- Strong knowledge of data modeling concepts and techniques, including star schema, snowflake schema, and data normalization.
- Proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power Query, DAX, and M language.
- Experience with data visualization best practices and techniques for creating compelling dashboards and reports.
- Familiarity with data integration methods, including ETL processes, API integration, and data warehousing.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or Microsoft Certified: Power BI Certification are a plus.
