Position Summary:
The Youth Services Program Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing programs that support the personal, educational, and social development of youth. This role requires a dynamic, organized, and compassionate individual who can engage with youth, manage program logistics, and collaborate with community partners. The coordinator will work closely with the Department Director to create a safe and inclusive environment where young people can thrive.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage scheduling and logistics for on-site and school-based activities and programs.
- Manage and facilitate Bike Safety Program initiatives for youth groups ages Kindergarten – 5th grade.
- Manage the inventory and maintenance of the Bike Safety Program.
- Oversee the registration process for all Youth Services programs.
- Serve as the point of contact for schools and community organizations regarding Youth Services programs and outreach.
- Implement programs, ensuring they meet the needs and interests of the youth.
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making adjustments as needed.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to assist with marketing efforts, including content creation for newsletters and social media, coordinating with the communications team, and promote programs within the community to increase participation and support.
- Ability to assist in maintaining accurate records of program activities, participation, and outcomes.
- Ability to develop and maintain partnerships with local schools and community organizations.
- Prior knowledge of experiential learning programs is preferred.
Additional Responsibilities
- Perform all other duties assigned by the Department Director
- Ability to work some evenings and weekend hours
- Applicant must hold a valid Illinois Drivers License

- Must be able to sit, walk, stand, use fingers in a repetitive motion, twist and turn for long periods of time.
- The position requires some moderate lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying of up to 30 pounds.
Education, Experience, and Computer Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, or a related field preferred.
- CPR and First Aid Certified (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Background in the field of prevention is preferred. Prior experience in youth services, program facilitation, or a related field is desirable.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage groups of 4-25 participants

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
