R-V Industries is looking for a Mechanical Assembler and Service Tech to join their pharmaceutical and life sciences teams!
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION FOR MECHANICAL ASSEMBLY AND SERVICE TECH
A Mechanical Assembler and Service Tech will assemble and disassemble mechanical parts, pieces, and products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications. They will also provide installation and service of GPT products. This position is also responsible for completing service calls in accordance with customer needs and specifications.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES FOR MECHANICAL ASSEMBLY AND SERVICE TECH
- Read and interpret blueprints or sketches and perform layout work.
- Panel wiring, low voltage 24 VDC, single and three phase 220/480 VAC.
- Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes
- Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
- Perform installation work independently under little or no supervision or direction.
- Provide guidance to customer satisfaction regarding installation variances from specification.
- Equipment validation & debugging
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATIONAL/PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS FOR MECHANICAL ASSEMBLY AND SERVICE TECH
- Previous assembly experience or related degree
- Required to have own hand tools
- Ability to follow verbal and written directions
- Ability to read blueprints
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Able to travel up to 50% of the time
