Clinical Supervisor Job Description
- Supervises and actively supports the clinical staff to deliver quality service and care to patient families. Fills in with providers or in the lab as needed.

Education and Certification Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Associate's Degree in Nursing or LPN license
- Georgia licensed Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
Experience
- 3 years of experience in clinical management/supervisory position
- Pediatric or physician office experience preferred.
Must be a United States citizen and be proficient in English
Ability to pass a criminal background check and random drug screen, which may be requested before or after hire
Hours and Physical Demands Required
- Weekday availability should range from 7:45 AM-6:15 PM M-F. Presence is required for the start of each day. Some weekend and after hours required for seasonal vaccine clinics, meetings, and to address staffing concerns.
- Must be able to lift 15 lb independently
- Bending, stooping, walking, sitting
- Hearing and speaking to effectively communicate with staff, physicians, and patient families
- Work conditions do include potential exposures to blood and bodily fluids

Clinical Job responsibilities include:
Ability to function highly and proficiently in all clinical areas so one can serve as an example and resource for all nursing staff. These areas include assessing sick patients, providing phone nurse triage, escorting patients to rooms and preparing them for examination, administering and documenting vaccinations in EHR and GRITS, performing all areas needed to complete patient care including but not limited to nebulization, specimen collection for laboratory testing, hearing/vision screenings, and vital signs. Provide all necessary documentation to parent. As a nurse supervisor, you must help oversee all office clinical emergencies and offer needed support to provider.

- Responsible for the reporting and documentation of employee/patient/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues
Compliance Measures
- Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and policies and procedures related to the area of responsibility
- Identifies potential risk areas and implements a resolution
- Maintains records of compliance activities and reports compliance activities to the Practice Administrator
Other Important Duties Include
- Ordering and ensuring appropriate vaccine supply for practice and maintaining inventory counts in EHR.
- Monitors and maintains all clinical supply inventory
- Assisting with implementation and staff training on EHR
- Staffing and supervising vaccine clinics
- Monitoring clinical staff compliance with form/task completion.
- Oversight for clinical grievances, claims, and complaints/conflict resolution
- Pilot programs for quality management: examples include Gardasil report, Asthma protocols, QCPI, PCMH, well visit/BMI, newborn hip dysplasia, etc
