Claims Operations seeks a Claims Technology Specialist (CTS) II to actively support both current and new technology utilized by the claims department. This role provides real-time assistance to claims associates involving introducing and refining tools, workflow, or processes involving technology. Creating content for, and then leading, both training and presentations will be required. Will lead efforts to creatively transform current practices into fresh improved solutions; pushes creative thinking beyond the boundaries of existing practices and customer mindsets to find ways to incorporate new tools and technology as appropriate. CTS’s will also actively participate and support major company initiatives and projects impacting claims as needed. This role will also utilize organizational change management principles to drive successful adoption of new tools and technology by associates to support an outstanding claims experience to our policyholders.
The CTS position supports our claims vision by focusing on introducing and ushering continuous improvement of technology and innovative approaches into the claims department. This will be done by identifying emerging technologies and seeking out new, innovative, and creative solutions that address improved efficiency and customer satisfaction. You will consistently look to identify opportunities for process improvements or production efficiencies by exploring new tools and software that could assist in automating and improving claims customer service. This requires frequent communication and involvement with the various teams in claims to facilitate productive collaboration to promote meaningful change.
Salary Range: The pay range for this position is $70,000- $90,000 annually. The pay determination is based on the applicant’s education, experience, location, knowledge, skills and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.
Be ready to:
- identify claims efficiencies that can be realized by using new and/or existing technology
- find, review and recommend new technologies and/or vendors to assist in solving current problems with the understanding that others will make the final decision on implementing
- evaluate technologies and tools from new and existing vendors by providing real-world context to determine if they will solve claims department challenges
- use data and customer feedback when applicable address root cause problem solving
- provide technical, educational, and training support for claims pilots and proof-of-concepts
- assist with how to best utilize technology in claims handling processes by providing project support and guidance for new technology introduced to claims associates
- review and offer suggestions that will enhance claims system training programs
- attend and present at Field Claims unit meetings as well as actively participate in technology support calls and claims staff service observations
- participate in Studio and Corporate Ventures representing the Claims Department
- improve and streamline departmental communications relating to new technologies and processes
- create an organized and intuitive approach to retaining and locating departmental correspondence
- capture, analyze and document claims’ business and user requirements related to new technology to solve current and future business problems
- maintain documentation on applications, services, and business processes to assist with determining solutions to business problems
- establish methods for monitoring and actively reporting on projects progression
- lead all efforts related to the Claims Technology Resource (CTR) program
- share industry insights, trends, and observations with peers
Be equipped with:
- Bachelor or higher degree
- 1 plus years of proven proficiency and experience executing the roles and responsibilities of a claims adjuster
- flexibility to be able to deal with frequently changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
