Overview
With supervision perform tasks required to meet the grounds maintenance schedule
Responsibilities

Perform grounds maintenance duties per contract schedule, requirements and standards to include:

Mow all improved grounds to look well-manicured using walking-type or zero turn riding lawnmowers.

Use weed eater, pull weeds, and provide weed control.

Uses blower and manually picks up trash, leaves, limbs, and provide clean and neat appearance of grounds at all times.

Trims hedges and shrubs, edges around walkways, planters, building and walls using hedge trimmers, clippers, and edging tools to maintain a neat and professional appearance.

Prunes shrubs and trees using shears and saws.

Assure all storm damage is corrected with the first available manpower after a storm: e.g. fallen trees, limbs, debris and silt deposited by water runoff on improved grounds.

Aerates grounds as needed. Applies fertilizer to grounds as needed.

Monitors equipment used and reports any malfunction or other issues.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES. Other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education. High School or GED.
Experience. Grounds maintenance, landscaping field experience preferred.
Education/Experience substitution. In accordance with Tresco policy.
Licenses/Certifications. Valid driver’s license.
Other (e.g., post-offer drug screen, background check, driver’s license record, etc.). Employee’s must undergo a driver’s license record check; employees must pass a government background check.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED BY THE POSITION:

Bilingual skills are not required but are beneficial.

Maintain confidentiality of all information regarding clients and employees of Tresco.

Ability to work under stressful situations.

Ability to work independently and in a team setting

Ability to secure and maintain an NACI clearance.
Rate of Pay: $15.00-$18.00 D.O.E
Hours: Varies
