About The Position
We are looking to hire a full time Facilities Maintenance Technician for our Indianapolis locations. This position will require 35-45 hours/week and availability afterhours & weekend, but does offer overtime and/or comp (flex) time.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities;
- Problem solving skills (ability to think outside of the box)
- A positive, team attitude
- Good communication skills
- Able to read & write in English, some basic math skills
- Deadline & detail oriented
- Must have own transportation (reliable & insured-truck or open van a plus)
- Military background and/or Familiarity with Veterans Affairs (VA) a plus
- Common knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
- Proven experience as a handyman or maintenance tech
- Time management and the ability to prioritize work is a must!
Responsibilities:
- Complete work orders in a timely fashion and provide updates accordingly to team.
- Successfully estimate time & extent of repairs necessary.
- Use basic functions of maintenance app and update daily.
- Complete duties as assigned in a timely fashion.
- Keep supplies, inventory, & equipment log up to date.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the facility, including workshop(s) & maintenance office space.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance.
- Repair and replace facility equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility as required.
- Monitor and adjust HVAC systems, troubleshoot as needed.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems.
- Oversee work performed by outside contractors as necessary.
- Maintain grounds onsite
- Perform tenant specified tasks including room turnover for admissions.
- Sidewalk clearing & parking lot snow removal during inclement weather.
- Follow all health & safety regulations.
- Availability for on call after-hours & weekends.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
