Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Assembly Lead Person to join our team. As a Lead in our Assembly Department, you will manage the scheduling and work flow through the assembly department, overseeing the work by the assembly crew to ensure the work is being done correctly, safely and in a timely manner. The role of the Electro-Mechanical Assembly Lead entails the construction of machinery and the execution of maintenance repairs on the client's equipment as instructed. They oversee all project aspects, starting from initiation to completion specifically in regards to assembly. They adhere to guidelines regarding decisions pertaining to labor scheduling, procurement, and distribution of manufactured and acquired components for the construction and assembly of customized capital equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Join components or modules together and place, adjust, and secure them to larger structures, such as assemblies, sub-assemblies, or frames, employing both manual and automated tools.
- Establish connections between cables, tubes, and wiring in accordance with given specifications.
- Arrange, align, and modify components to achieve accurate fit and seamless assembly.
- Thoroughly examine, evaluate, and fine-tune finished units to verify their compliance with specifications, tolerances, and customer order specifications.
- Ensure that parts comply with stock lists or blueprints by utilizing measuring instruments like calipers, gauges, or micrometers to make accurate assessments.
- Uphold quality, precision, and safety standards by meticulously reviewing one's own work and ensuring attention to detail, with a clear understanding of customer expectations.
- Timely and accurately complete necessary documentation, including making necessary corrections on prints or blueprints.
- Competence in understanding and analyzing engineering prints and schematic drawings to determine suitable work procedures.
- Disassembles, moves, and aligns machines and equipment.
- Assembles machines, bolts, welds, rivets, or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures.
- Repairs and lubricates machines and equipment.
- Ensure all safety policies are always followed.
Experience:
Electrical experience in a manufacturing facility is desired.
Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, and other assembly equipment.
Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions, blueprints, and schematics.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Mechanical knowledge and understanding of how components fit together.
Forklift experience is a plus.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment is required.
