Summary/Objective
The role of an Business Development Manager is to present KCI’s unique services to network operations managers at organizations engaged in operating facilities for the transmission of voice, data, and video. The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and building relationships at all levels of target organizations primarily in the telecom and broadband provider markets through outreach, on-site meetings, and networking events.

- Prospect, develop, and close new business.
- Identify new clients, generate call lists, and book client meetings.
- Position KCI’s unique approach with network operations managers and decision makers.
- Clearly communicate KCI’s advantage in the market relative to customers and competition
- Identify ways to match services to customer requirements and provide insight into the value proposition of KCI’s Managed Services
- Grow and maintain long term relationships. Promote client development and build relationships through client meetings, presentations, and network events.
- Discuss requirements with operations and effectively relaying it back to the delivery team.
- Negotiate bill rates, contract terms, and fees with clients.
- Conduct on going activities with client to ensure quality of KCIs delivery.
- Resolve client issues with the assistance of the delivery team.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Must have experience selling managed services (telecom, software, or IT)
- Must have experience in the following telecom services specifically:
- Design, installation, and provision of WiFi, switches, and security appliances
- Network Migration and Optimization
- Circuit design and provisioning
- Network monitoring, maintenance, repair, and decommissioning solutions
- Transport engineering solutions
- Minimum 5 years of experience in outside sales within the above markets
- Hunter mentality and self-starter
- Strong communication and negotiating skills
Preferred Skills and Knowledge
- Experience in one or more of these additional industry segments is a plus:
- Security Solutions, including Security Operations Center (SOCaaS), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), Secure Connect (VPN), Network Monitoring, and Secure Access services
