Responsibilities:
Reviews set-up sheet and specifications to determine sequence of set-up operations and dimensions of finished workpiece
Assembles cutting tools in toolholders and positions tools in machine spindles according to directions, using machinists' hand tools, or inserts cutting tools in specified machine magazines
Turns switches to operating position and starts machine
Changes cutting tools and location of clamps
Observes machine operation and verifies accuracy of machined workpiece against blueprints or engineering drawings by measuring cuts with micrometer, dial indicator, and gages
Notifies supervisor of discrepancies
Performs other customer driven or product driven duties as assigned by Supervisor
