Job Title: Account Manager
Position Function: To plan and carry out direct marketing and sales activities with Distributors and
end customers within a specified geographic region (Eastern US Coast/Canada)
for the ATC/Diversified Electronics business unit. This role would entail both
working with existing and new customers. You will be expected to support and
train distributors on our product line as well as managing the business
relationship with them including sales opportunity pursuits, forecasting,
competitive analysis and reporting other market conditions.
Responsibilities: To include but not limited to the following
1. Manage and commercially support large existing accounts meeting their demands in order to ensure customer satisfaction.
2. Performing key metric tracking and forecasting duties.
3. Identify growth opportunities for Marsh Bellofram whether it be with existing products or new products that need developed.
4. Attend training and develop relevant knowledge and skills.
5. Train distributors on our products both through formal training and joint sales calls.
6. Maintain an active sales funnel in Salesforce.
7. Participate in weekly team sales meetings.
8. Carry out market research, competitor and customer surveys.
9. Provide support, research and backup information for Distribution to follow-up on new opportunities, open doors and new, relevant information to obtain sales goals.
10. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Over 5 years of General industry selling with extensive knowledge and experience in sales and account management.
2. Knowledge and experience in industrial automation products and their applications. An Electronic/Electrical background working with Industrial Distribution is desired.
3. Solid experience with CRM software packages (e.g. Salesforce) and MS Office.
4. Ability to understand profit and loss calculations and basic business finance.
5. Must be a very competent writer of business letters, quotes and proposals.
6. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Engineering or related field required.
Abilities Required: This position requires a self-driven individual, results oriented with
a positive outlook and a clear focus on the task at hand. Reliable,
tolerant and determined, communicator, well presented and business like,
sufficiently mobile and flexible to travel the US approximately 50%.
Excellent face-to-face and telephone communicator with the ability
to demonstrate success in managing major accounts and large, high
level contacts. Relationship building and interpersonal skills are required.
