INNKEEPER’S RESPONSIBILITIES
Buttermilk Falls Inn & Spa is looking for a courteous and professional Front Desk agent. The duties and responsibilities extend to, answering phone calls, booking reservations, greeting guests upon arrival, helping them navigate around our 75 acres property, providing information about the facility and the local and surrounding areas. Must maintain a positive attitude and possess excellent communication skills.
The Innkeeper is the first point of contact our guest will interact with upon arrival. That said, the innkeeper is the ambassador or the face of Buttermilk Falls Inn & Spa. Therefore, the innkeeper should be able to give a good first impression of who we are, what we offer and is able to efficiently communicate this to our guest by giving exceptional customer service. Always greeting guest with a warm welcoming smile so they feel appreciated and at home
Responsibilities for Hotel Front Desk Clerk
- Be well-versed in or learn the property’s reservation system, methods of payment, Gmail,
- Be knowledgeable about all the different accommodation types, location and amenities .
- coordinate services per guest requests to ensure a positive stay
- Work collaboratively with other staff members and departments to ensure guests a safe, positive stay.
- Making sure that the front desk, hallways, and parlors are clean everyday and are presentable to guests.
- Responsible for call in, walk in and web reservations which include processing payment
- Greet every guest with a warm smile and create a memorable experience
- Keep accurate account of reservations, payments and room assignments and safeguard guest information
- Engage with a variety of customers in a professional manner
- Remain calm under pressure
- Exhibit problem solving skills in difficult situations
- Maintain the welcome desk with a professional appearance
Qualifications for Hotel Front Desk Clerk
- 0-2 years of customer service experience
- Basic computer skills
- Able to use various office equipment
- Able to use a multi line office telephone
- Ability to reconcile a cash drawer
- Excellent customer service skills
- Prolonged periods of standing
- Able to work varied shifts
- Reliable transportation or means of getting to and from work
- Able to work rotating shifts, holidays and weekends
