Job Summary
The HVAC Estimator / Project Manager at Premier Systems is responsible for driving new sales and generating high referral-based business through professional engagement that aligns with the company's integrity and customer-care standards. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of technical, financial, and design aspects to provide optimal solutions to customers, along with strong negotiation skills and the ability to maintain positive client relationships throughout the project lifecycle. The position also emphasizes continuous personal and professional growth, participation in industry organizations, and a commitment to maintaining company confidentiality and enhancing customer satisfaction.
Base Salary: $52,000.00/yearly + Performance Based Bonus
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Drive new sales for the company in a professional manner consistent with the company’s integrity and customer-care standards.
- Determine needs and then provide solutions that solve the customer’s issues and generate a high rate of referral-based sales.
- Educate builders and homeowners on value: Inform customers of all special promotions, the benefits of high efficiency equipment and optional equipment and products.
- Perform sales presentations, as outlined in company selling process, using approved company presentation materials and methods.
- Perform heat load calculations based on plan sets provided by clients.
- Present a proposal during a meeting with the client to educate on system options.
- Accurately read blueprints to determine costs and accurately prepare estimates.
- Have a deep understanding of financial concepts including labor costs, costs of good sold, gross margin, and net profit.
- Keep appointments with customers as scheduled.
- Completes all purchase orders based on customer selections and ensures proper authorizations of executed contracts.
- Completes acquisition of all major equipment upon signed purchase order.
- Ability to detect design defects and flaws and challenge/question Architects and Engineers to ensure potential problems before they occur.
- Able to prepare a bid or change order with the necessary application and math skills to understand and validate calculations that project target profits.
- Displays strong negotiation skills that produce positive outcomes for all parties.
- Refine communication skills and improve customer satisfaction processes.
- Attendance at monthly SWMBIA meetings and social events.
- Ability to utilize software programs for estimating and communicating system options.
- Maintaining rapport with clients through all facets for the project from estimating to execution to evaluation.
- Communicate effectively between co-workers, vendors, and clients.
- Participate actively in all training and ongoing education.
- Must demonstrate learning-retention and field level application of knowledge and skills attained from all trainings provided.
- Participate with industry trade organizations to enhance exposure to new industry-related business, enhance relations, and ultimately add volume.
- Able to maintain confidentiality about Premier Systems matters such as price and cost schedules, company finances, and/or any information about Premier Systems to competitors and clients that may be interpreted as unethical.
- Represent the company in a professional manner consistent with the company’s integrity and customer-care standards.
- Follow company procedures for generating referrals.
- Attend weekly Level 10 Meetings for New Construction Department.
- Attend daily new construction department huddle.
- Consistently hits weekly sales and new project goals as established by leadership team in quarterly planning sessions.
- Other duties and projects as assigned by the New Construction Manager and/or Operations or Sales Manager.
Education and Experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience
- Background in sales or construction
- General understanding of basic arithmetic and geometry understanding
Certifications, Licenses, and other Special Requirements
- Valid MT Driver’s License
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
- Must be comfortable working directly with consumers in their home.
- Ability to use Company-furnished technology products.
