We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Preschool Teacher to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote learning and development.
- Provide a safe and supportive environment for children to explore, play, and interact with their peers.
- Create a positive classroom environment that encourages social-emotional development and builds self-esteem.
- Utilize effective behavior management techniques to promote positive behavior and address challenging behaviors when necessary.
- Collaborate with parents or guardians to ensure open communication and involvement in their child's education.
- Conduct regular assessments to track each child's progress and identify areas for improvement or additional support.
- Stay up-to-date with best practices in early childhood education and participate in professional development opportunities.
Skills:
- MUST HAVE at least 2 years experience as a lead teacher.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to different learning styles and abilities.
- Excellent classroom management skills to create a structured yet nurturing environment.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with parents or guardians, fellow teachers, and support staff.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with young children.
We are a half day Christian program. We are looking for someone who loves Jesus and children, willing to work with a great team of women, can sit and engage with children on the floor and run around and play with them. We follow Wake County traditional calendar. We open from Labor Day to Memorial Day (Sept - May) with the opportunity to work a few weeks of summer camp if you would like.
The Pre-K teacher position is Mon-Thurs with possible Fridays from 8:30am - 1:15pm. The 3 year old position is Mon-Fri from 8:30 - 1:15pm. Positions will begin August 21st.
