Summary
Performs minor repairs on facilities, equipment, or fixtures under the supervision of leadership by utilizing multiple craft skills (for example, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment); inspecting, operating, or testing facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues; dismantling equipment, machines, or facilities to access and remove defective parts; diagnose problems utilizing blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary; utilizing hand tools, power tools, hoists, and other equipment; providing prompt response to emergency calls; and documenting repair activities.
Duties and Responsibilities

Inspects buildings and other structures to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions/ repairs. Maintains a preestablished check sheet of ongoing problems, concerns and/or issues

Performs minor electrical maintenance to include but not be limited to replacement or repair of fixtures such as wall switches and outlets, incandescent/fluorescent bulbs, tubes, ballast, sockets, fuses, minor appliances, cords etc. using appropriate hand, power, and specialty tools

Performs minor plumbing maintenance such as replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains, trenching, and laying new lines, replacing drain hoses on washers and similar devices

Performs minor painting, carpentry, and masonry work such as preparing surfaces and using brush, sprayer, roller to apply paints, stains, and varnishes, hanging doors, fitting locks, and handles

Reconfigures, installs, positions and remounts modular offices and space such as furniture, wall panels, work surfaces, storage bins, lighting, file cabinets to accommodate user needs and maximize office space using various hand, power and specialty tools, dollies and hand trucks

Prepares the surfaces and paints various structures and equipment such as walls, refrigerators, evaporative coolers, floors, roof, doors, restroom facilities to preserve wood and metal parts from corrosion and maintain a safe, comfortable working environment using various painting equipment and related tools such as sprayers, rollers, brushes, and thinners

Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked

Performs delivery driver duties as assigned

Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, parking lots, and other work areas occasionally

Qualifications
-
High School graduate or GED preferred
-
One year of working experience in facility maintenance preferred
-
Computer proficiency including MS Outlook/ Word/Excel and Computerized maintenance management system (CMMS/Maintenance Pro) preferred

Excellent customer service skills
-
Strong organizational, research, and analytical skills
-
Must be able to read, write and speak in the English language

Must have clean MVR
