Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Inventory Receiving Specialist to join the AMS Fulfillment team. As part of the Cycle Count unit, the Inventory Receiving Specialist will play a crucial role in maintaining inventory accuracy by conducting proper counting, processing material reports and transfers, and coordinating inventory activities in alignment with company policies. The Specialist will be responsible for receiving parcel and supply shipments, accurately counting, sorting, and weighing inbound items, and ensuring the receipt of all goods in accordance with AMS and client protocols. Additionally, the Specialist will be expected to report any inventory discrepancies and assist with other warehouse tasks as needed. Ideal candidates will have strong attention to detail and a thorough understanding of inventory management processes.
Essential Job Functions

- Work closely with Supervisor or Inventory Manager to ensure smooth inventory operations.
- Follow systematic inventory levels to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Maintain accurate inventory control or count procedures to minimize discrepancies.
- Transfer products from one location to another as needed.
- Assist other departments when help is needed, such as during peak periods or special projects.
- Maintain clear and effective communication on all inventory issues, including updates, discrepancies, and stock availability.
- Perform inventory moves accurately and efficiently.
- Understand and perform cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Control physical inventories by providing directions and answers to count teams.
- Perform inventory adjustments in the system and be able to explain the reasons for adjustments.
- Export proper inventory report files from InOrder into an Excel format for analysis and reporting.
- Verify and inspect incoming parcels and supplies to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Enter data for receipts, adjustments, and transfers into the inventory system.
- Maintain accurate filing of documents related to inventory management.
- Communicate with truck drivers to coordinate deliveries and pickups.
- Communicate with Client Services to address any inventory-related issues or inquiries.
- Properly disperse shipments to the correct recipients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

- Minimum one to two years of experience in inventory control or a related field.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to identify and resolve inventory issues.
- Proficient in reading and writing in English to understand and communicate inventory-related information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to use a computer or handheld device to perform inventory-related tasks and utilize inventory management software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, to create reports, documents, and communicate effectively.
- Forklift experience to safely and efficiently move inventory within the warehouse.
- Knowledge of the InOrder system (or similar inventory management software) is preferred.
- Extreme attention to detail to ensure accurate inventory counts and data entry.
- Must have the ability to count accurately and efficiently.
