As our Camp Educator, you will be directly responsible for developing and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans for children ages 5-11 years old. You will be implementing an activity-based learning curriculum that incorporates subject areas of STEM, reading, writing, and social studies.
Qualifications:

Bachelors or Masters in Elementary Education or equivalent.

Excellent classroom management skills.

Experience teaching elementary-age children in a classroom setting.

Ability to design and implement creative and effective lesson plans.

Ability to teach specific subjects to a wide and diverse range of learners.

Have high energy and enthusiasm for teaching.

Ability to manage time well and multi-task.

Show initiative and be able to prioritize.

Be responsible and trustworthy.

Proactive work ethic and ability to perform with minimal supervision.

Work under the guidance and principles set forth by the Camp Director.
Responsibilities:

Develop activity-based learning curriculum for the camp season.

Design and implement organized activity-based lesson plans.

Create a fun and educational learning environment.

Communicate effectively with students and camp counselors.

Arrive early to set up the program area and clean up the area when classes are completed.

Record and monitor camper's progress.

Care for all instructional materials.

Performs any other related duties as assigned by the Camp Director.

Hours:

In-person: June 27 - August 16, 2024.

7 class sessions per day, each class is 40-45 minutes, 10-15 minutes between classes.

9:00 am-4:30 pm.

Monday through Friday during camp hours.
Compensation: $45.00/class.

Specifications for physical requirements:

Must be able to stand for 45 minutes at a time.

Must be able to move from classroom to classroom and up and down stairs.

Must be able to carry up to 20 pounds.
