As a Hospice Nurse, you will be responsible for providing compassionate care to patients with life-limiting illnesses. You will work closely with the interdisciplinary team to ensure that patients receive the highest quality of care.Responsibilities:- Provide skilled nursing care to hospice patients in their homes or inpatient settings- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician- Perform assessments and document patient progress- Educate patients and families on disease process, symptom management, and end-of-life care- Coordinate care with other members of the interdisciplinary team- Assist with discharge planning- Collect and process specimensSkills:- Experience with DME, family planning is preferred- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Excellent communication skills- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills- Ability to provide emotional support to patients and familiesBenefits:- Competitive salary- Health insurance- - 401(k) retirement plan with employer match-Vacation - Active RN license in the state of practice- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required; hospice experience preferred
