Position Summary: We are seeking an organized, highly motivated and collaborative thinker to guide the next phase of our program evolution. This individual will focus on high-level mission advancement, building partnerships, fundraising, and creating an inclusive culture. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in development and fundraising, as well as proven management experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management:
- Provide visionary leadership to Amala, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission and strategic goals.
- Oversee financial health and manage two director level employees.
- Foster a positive and inclusive organizational culture that promotes teamwork, professional growth, and a strong sense of community.
- Development and Fundraising:
- Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to secure financial support from diverse sources, including individuals, corporations, foundations, and government grants.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with major donors, stakeholders, and community partners.
- Lead grant writing and reporting efforts, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Plan and execute fundraising events and campaigns to increase donor engagement and revenue.
- Community Engagement and Advocacy:
- Serve as the primary spokesperson and advocate for Amala
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, organizations, and partners to enhance collaboration and impact.
- Strategic Planning and Evaluation:
- Lead the development and implementation of strategic plans to advance the organization’s mission and goals.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness and impact of programs and initiatives.
- Ensure ongoing evaluation and improvement of programs to meet the evolving needs of the community.
- Financial and Operational Oversight:
- Develop and manage the organization’s budget, ensuring financial stability and sustainability.
Ensure efficient and effective use of resources to maximize impact and achieve organizational goals.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in development and fundraising, with a proven track record of securing significant funding.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior management role, preferably within a nonprofit organization.
- Strong understanding of mental health and wellness issues and a passion for community-building.
- Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful fundraising strategies.
- Experience in grant writing and management.
Financial acumen and experience managing budgets and financial operations.

Compensation: Amala offers a competitive salary and benefits package commensurate with experience. The salary range for this position is between $85-90k based on experience.
