Position Overview/Site Director:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Site Director to oversee our after-school programs located in various Philadelphia charter schools. This leadership role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, STEM-focused activities and fostering positive mentoring relationships with our scholars.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Teamwork:
- Ensure a safe, supportive, and enriching educational environment for children and youth.
- Oversee daily operations of the after-school program, including homework assistance, instructional activities, and free time.
- Lead and mentor a team of educators and staff, fostering a collaborative and inclusive atmosphere.
- Participate actively in Robots & Mentors' staff meetings and professional development sessions.
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and stakeholders to maintain strong relationships and ensure program success.
- Work sensitively and effectively with individuals from diverse educational, socioeconomic, and cultural backgrounds.
Program Management:
- Develop and implement creative, engaging learning activities tailored to elementary school students.
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making adjustments as necessary to meet the needs of scholars and staff.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and conduct regular safety drills.
- Manage program logistics, including scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination with school administrators.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- At least two years of experience mentoring youth.
- At least two years of teaching and/or leadership experience.
- CPR/First Aid certification.
- Availability from Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Position Overview: Lead Teacher
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Lead Teacher for our after-school programs in Philadelphia charter schools. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing STEM-based learning activities, ensuring compliance with the standards set by the Pennsylvania Office of Child Development and Early Learning (OCDEL).

Key Responsibilities:
Instruction and Curriculum Development:
- Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate STEM-based learning activities.
- Provide homework assistance and facilitate various instructional and free time activities.
- Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
Classroom Management:
- Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
- Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order among the students.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support as needed.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with the Site Director and other staff members to plan and coordinate program activities.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding students' progress and any concerns.
- Participate in Robots & Mentors staff meetings and professional development sessions.
Compliance and Professional Standards:
- Ensure compliance with the standards and regulations of the Pennsylvania Office of Child Development and Early Learning (OCDEL).
- Maintain accurate records of students’ attendance, progress, and other required documentation.
- Stay updated with current best practices and trends in early childhood and STEM education.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field.
- Certification or eligibility for certification under the standards of the Pennsylvania Office of Child Development and Early Learning (OCDEL).
- At least two years of experience in teaching or leading educational activities for elementary-aged children.
- CPR/First Aid certification.
- Availability from Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 27 per week
