Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
- Take and develop dental X-rays
- Perform dental charting and record medical documentation using Dentrix and Epic systems
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient records
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe working environment
Skills:
- Proficiency in using Dentrix and Epic systems for medical documentation and patient records management
- Experience in taking dental X-rays and familiarity with X-ray equipment and safety protocols
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and treatments
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, dentists, and other team members
- Ability to assess patient needs, provide appropriate assistance, and ensure their comfort during procedures
- Knowledge of infection control protocols to maintain a safe and sterile environment
- Attention to detail in maintaining accurate dental records and documentation systems
