The South Carolina Waterfowl Association is seeking a high performing camping professional to provide management and leadership for the nation’s leading wildlife conservation education center. The candidate must have a passion for wildlife conservation, outdoor recreation and R3 education. Core programs include: Camp Woodie (summer camp), Camp Leopold (school year environmental education) and Outdoor Heritage Events (parent/child hunting and fishing weekends). On-site programs are hosted at our beautiful 1,600-acre Wildlife Education Center located near Lake Marion. The candidate must have a minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience in camp operations, leadership, management, a strong understanding of the American Camp Association standards and the R3 movement. Responsibilities include: staff management, program development and oversight, safety and risk management, program budgets and fiscal management and business and strategic planning. Responsible for promoting a positive work culture with a camper-focused environment. Develop recruitment and retention strategies to ensure enrollment stays strong and growing. This is a full time, exempt position, including a 6% retirement match, annual incentive bonus plan of up to 15% of salary and company vehicle usage. Competitive salary and moving expenses.
