Core Responsibilities:
- Strategic HR Leadership:
- Develop and implement customized HR strategies aligned with U.S. business objectives.
- Collaborate with the Canadian Head Office and U.S. leadership on talent acquisition, employee engagement, and organizational development.
- Talent Acquisition and Management:
- Oversee recruitment and onboarding processes to attract and retain top U.S. talent.
- Implement effective workforce planning strategies across all U.S. organizational levels.
- Employee Relations:
- Strategize on fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture in the U.S.
- Develop and implement U.S.-specific policies and procedures in compliance with legal requirements and industry best practices.
- Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion:
- Lead DEI initiatives to create an inclusive workplace.
- Ensure DEI principles are integrated into HR policies, practices, and programs.
- Mergers & Acquisitions Integration:
- Facilitate effective onboarding of new employees, collaborating with unit leaders.
- Develop integration plans for HR policies, benefits, compensation, and cultural alignment.
- Compensation & Benefits Administration:
- Oversee competitive wages and comprehensive benefits for U.S. operations.
- Collaborate with U.S.-based vendors to optimize benefit offerings and ensure compliance.
- Performance Management:
- Implement and manage performance appraisal processes in the U.S.
- Provide guidance and support to U.S. managers in addressing performance issues.
- Compliance and Legal:
- Stay updated on changes in U.S. employment laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with U.S. legal counsel to address HR-related legal matters.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree or HR certification is a plus.
- Proven HR leadership experience in the U.S. market, preferably in a related industry.
- In-depth knowledge of U.S. HR principles, practices, and regulations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to think strategically and act tactically in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated success in implementing HR initiatives driving positive organizational change.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
