Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced leader to join our Magnolia Public Schools
team as the Director of Charter Petitions and Reporting. The Director of Charter Petitions and
Reporting will play a key role in collecting, analyzing, and reporting data to track progress
toward project objectives and outcomes.
This individual will work closely with the Senior Project Director of Growth and Expansion and
Family Success Coordinator to gather essential school performance data and will be responsible
for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all data collected of Charter Petitions and
Reporting will also be responsible for creating new charter petitions for existing and new schools
using data that aligns with the MPS Logic Model.
Responsibilities:
1. Data Collection: Collect, analyze, and report data to track progress toward project objectives and outcomes. Ensure that all data collected is accurate, complete, and timely.
2. Collaboration: Work closely with the Senior Director of Growth and Expansion and Family Success Coordinator to gather essential data of school performance. Collaborate
with other team members to ensure that data is used effectively to drive decision-making.
3. Data Analysis: Analyze data to identify trends and patterns, and to develop insights that inform decision-making. Use statistical analysis and modeling techniques to identify areas of opportunity and potential risks.
4. Reporting: Prepare and present reports that communicate key insights and trends to the executive team and educational partners. Ensure that reports are clear, concise, and actionable.
5. Data Management: Develop and maintain databases and other data collection tools. Ensure that data is organized, secure, and easily accessible.
6. Training and Support: Provide training and support to team members on data collection, analysis, and reporting. Ensure that team members have the necessary skills and tools to collect and analyze data effectively.
7. Continuous Improvement: Continuously improve data collection, analysis, and reporting processes to ensure that they are efficient, effective, and meet the needs of the
organization.
Qualifications:
1. Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in data science, statistics, education, or a related field.
2. Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in data analysis and management, with a strong background in education programs.
3. Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of statistical analysis and modeling techniques, data visualization, and data management. Familiarity with education policy and practice.
4. Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire a team, build collaborative relationships, and work effectively with diverse partners. Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.
5. Communication Skills: Exemplary written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver engaging presentations, facilitate meetings, and build partnerships.
