Position Summary:
Performs operations and maintenance on most trainer equipment at the "O" (Organizational), "I" (Intermediate) and "D" (Depot) level.
- Reports to the Site Manager.
- DoD SECRET Security Clearance.
- CompTIA A+ Certification Required
Experience:
- Minimum experience shall include six (6) years Electronics maintenance of which two (2) years demonstrate complex maintenance equivalent to all major areas of trainers described in the task order to include familiarity with Visual Systems and Image Generators (IG), Host computers, Control Loading, Motion Systems, Electronics Repair, Schematic interpretation, Cyber requirements, equipment cooling relating to Training Devices, networking, and maintenance scheduling.
- Demonstrate competence through satisfactory performance in Visual/Video Systems maintenance.
- Perform maintenance on closed circuit TV and computer generated visuals and/or image projection of simulator systems.
- Possess two years of experience in visual/video systems maintenance or the equivalent as outlined for each trainer appendix.
- With government concurrence, equivalent simulator maintenance experience and education may be substituted, provided it is comparable to trainer systems listed in the RESFOR task order.
Education:
- Graduated from a two-year electronic technician resident course at an accredited technical institute or the equivalent.
- CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains trainee, instructor, and monitoring stations
- Maintains power control and distribution systems
- Device operator duties
- Instructor/student assistance
- Analyze discrepancies/determine corrective actions
- Isolate failed components
- Perform wiring/cabling repairs
- Perform electrical/mechanical adjustments
- Remove and replace failed components
- Assist in installation/checkout of modifications
- Perform preventive maintenance
- Document all maintenance actions
- Use test equipment/module tests for "I" level maintenance
- Perform software loading for mission setups
- Perform functional tests
- Perform depot level maintenance in central repair activity
- Perform daily operational readiness test
- Instruct and document progress in OJT program
- Install networking equipment such as switches, routers and firewalls.
- Additional duties as assigned
