Major Duties:
- Use a variety of hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and shovels
- Repair and maintain sewer lines and manholes / or Monitor, maintain facility processes and equipment through sampling, observation, and instrumentation
- Respond to and participate in on-call emergency calls
- Operate vehicles in the performance of duties or to attend training programs
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- One (1) year of experience in utility or plant maintenance/underground construction and/or mechanical maintenance
- High school graduation or equivalent
- Ability to obtain Utah Grade II Wastewater Operator within the first eighteen (18) months of employment
- Ability to obtain a valid State of Utah Class B Commercial Driver’s License with endorsements for air brakes and tank vehicle within 120 days of hire
Physical Demands:
- May be exposed to wind, rain, cold temperatures, noxious odors, noise, gases, and potential contact with wastewater
- Ability to fit through a manhole
- Ability to lift 100 pounds
- Treatment plant operator is required to work swing shift

Upon conditional offer, the candidate must successfully pass a background check and drug test. Salary will be determined based on experience. A signing bonus will be given to current Utah wastewater operators. These positions are open until filled.
