Job Summary:
The Nurse in Professional Development Specialist (MSN) demonstrates mastery of the specific knowledge and skills required for a specialty area of nursing. This position is accountable for the development and application of standards and evidence-based practice to enhance the quality of care to the patient and family. A self-directed advanced practitioner, the primary function of this position is that of an expert practitioner with essential education, consultant, researcher and managerial components.
Required Qualifications:
- Require demonstrated competence in nursing specialty as evidenced by a minimum of three (3) years of experience as an RN in practice specialty.
- Require current RN or Advanced Practice FL licensure.
- Require basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.
- Require National Institutes of Health (NIH) Stroke Scale certification within six (6) months of completing department orientation.
