As a REGISTERED NURSE (RN) you will:

Utilize the nursing process to deliver exceptional care within the Iowa Board of Nursing (IBON) scope of practice, aligning with hospital policies and procedures. You'll be the frontline advocate, promptly notifying the Charge Nurse of any issues that arise.

Apply deep knowledge of pathophysiology and nursing techniques to drive improvements in patient care. Your insights and recommendations will play a crucial role in enhancing patient outcomes.

Stay composed and decisive during emergencies, swiftly implementing appropriate nursing interventions to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.

Demonstrate precision in preparing and administering medications, adhering meticulously to hospital policies and the IBON scope of practice.

Maintain comprehensive documentation of assessment findings and care plans, ensuring accuracy and completeness at every step.

Empower patients and their families through effective education, continually assessing their needs and understanding to promote optimal wellness.

Provide guidance and supervision to LPNs, CNAs, and Unit Secretaries as needed, ensuring seamless coordination and quality care delivery.

Maintain strict confidentiality of patient, resident, and personnel information.

Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about optimizing patient care? We are looking for candidates who meet the following requirements:
Required Education, Experience, and Skills:

Graduate from an accredited and approved nursing program required.

Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state of Iowa required.

Basic Life Support (BLS) and Mandatory Reporter Certificate (Dependent Adult and Child Abuse) within 30 days of employment.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), within 60 days of employment.

Ability to maintain a high standard of courtesy and cooperation in dealing with co-workers, physicians, patients, residents, volunteers, and visitors.

Adaptability to performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.

Must have legal authorization to work in the United States
Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:

Previous nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred, but not required.

Department: Inpatient and Skilled Unit
Employment Type: Full-Time, Regular
Schedule: 7:00pm – 7:00am, three shifts per week, Monday – Thursday with occasional weekend rotation
Salary Range: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour (competitive and commensurate with experience)
Sign and Stay Bonus: $5,000!
