Job Description:
The E-Dirtbike Assembler is responsible for the precise and efficient assembly of electric dirt bikes/electric bicycle. This role involves working with various components, including mechanical parts, electrical systems, and battery packs. The assembler ensures that all units meet quality and safety standards and are ready for performance testing. This position requires a strong understanding of both mechanical and electrical assembly processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assembly Operations:
◦ Assemble electric dirt bikes by following detailed work instructions, blueprints, and schematics.
◦ Integrate mechanical parts, including frames, suspension systems, and handlebars, ensuring proper fit and function.
◦ Install and connect electrical components, including motors, controllers, wiring harnesses, and battery systems.
2. Electrical Systems Installation:
◦ Safely handle and install battery packs, ensuring proper alignment and secure connections.
◦ Route and connect wiring systems according to schematic diagrams, ensuring electrical integrity and functionality.
◦ Conduct initial power-up tests to verify the proper operation of electrical systems and troubleshoot issues as needed.
3. Quality Assurance:
◦ Inspect components and assembled bikes for defects or deviations from specifications.
◦ Perform functional tests on assembled bikes to verify performance and identify any issues.
◦ Document and report any quality concerns or assembly defects to the production supervisor.
4. Safety and Compliance:
◦ Adhere to all safety protocols, including the safe handling of electrical components and battery systems.
◦ Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies during the assembly process.
◦ Maintain a clean and organized work area, following 5S principles.
5. Process Improvement:
◦ Provide feedback on assembly processes and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
◦ Participate in team meetings to discuss production goals and challenges.
◦ Assist in the development and updating of assembly procedures and work instructions.
Qualifications:
1. Education and Experience:
◦ High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or technical certification in mechanical or electrical assembly is a plus.
◦ Previous experience in assembling electric vehicles, motorcycles, or similar products is highly desirable.
◦ Knowledge of electric propulsion systems and battery technology is beneficial.
Knowledge of dirt bike suspension repair/replacement is highly desired
2. Technical Skills:
◦ Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, electrical schematics, and assembly instructions is a plus
◦ Skilled in using hand and power tools, as well as specialized equipment for mechanical and electrical assembly.
◦ Basic understanding of electrical systems, including wiring, soldering, and connector assembly.
3. Soft Skills:
◦ Strong attention to detail and precision in both mechanical and electrical tasks.
◦ Good problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot assembly issues.
◦ Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
◦ Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move components.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precise assembly tasks.
- Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
Working Conditions:
- Work is conducted in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and potentially hazardous materials.
- Must follow safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- May involve working shifts, including evenings or weekends, depending on production schedules.
