Moreau Catholic High School, a coeducational high school in the Holy Cross tradition, is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Associate Director of Enrollment Management.
Founded in 1965 under the sponsorship of the Congregation of Holy Cross, Moreau Catholic High School emphasizes college-preparatory excellence in all programs designed to facilitate the informative, formative, and transformative needs of the individual student. Located approximately 25 miles southeast of San Francisco, in Hayward, California, the school is accredited by the Western Catholic Educational Association (WCEA) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). With 792 students, the co-educational student body reflects the rich ethnic and cultural diversity of the Bay Area, and the school has enjoyed a 99% collegiate matriculation. Our graduating seniors have been accepted into 1,000+ universities and colleges yearly, and have garnered, on average, between $11-14 million in scholarships and grants.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of Admissions, the Associate Director of Enrollment Management will be an integral part of Moreau’s admissions, enrollment, and financial aid team. The Associate Director will:
- Assist with the creation, oversight, and implementation of the school’s admissions and enrollment strategies;
- Cultivate relationships with feeder schools, international student placement agencies, community-based organizations, and key stakeholders;
- Visit feeder schools in the fall and spring to represent the school at admission events, school fairs, school visits, and off-campus events;
- Drive planning and organization of International Student Program (ISP) activities such as International Student Orientation, Welcome Dinner for host families and students, testing for appropriate math and science class placement, counseling department scheduling, social events, and other events.
- Serve as the main point of contact with international recruiters and homestay agencies to ensure positive ISP student outcomes (some international travel possible).
- Monitor developments that impact the international admissions office with relation to changes in educational systems, world events, and technology.
- In partnership with the counseling department staff, serve as liaison and mediator for international students with school personnel, families, community members, institutions, and agencies on issues related to international students and their educational programs.
- Provide ongoing support to current ISP students enrolled at the school on various matters.
- Support the development of events and activities promoting the school, including in-person customized tours, information sessions, scholarship evaluation days, and family and student onboarding.
- Build effective working relationships with faculty and staff to help support the admission and enrollment program throughout the recruitment cycle;
- Collaborate with the Business Office and Financial Aid Committee to review financial aid applications, determine awards, import contract data, and issue enrollment contracts to new and returning students.
- When appropriate, participate in admission and enrollment communications, including dissemination of offers, courtesy calls to unsuccessful applicants and exit interviews.
- Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications, marketing, or public relations, and a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in high school, college or university admissions and international student recruitment, including interacting with students, clients, and parents in an educational setting; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Possession of a valid U.S. passport and the ability to travel internationally for school business.
- Proficiency with computer programs, systems, databases, and the use of technology in the delivery of admissions services and online communication channels (website, social media, etc.). Knowledge of PowerSchool is desired.
- Experience with the Student Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) as it relates to admitting international students a major plus.
- Superb writing and editing skills, experience and comfort facilitating committee meetings, and preparation and presentation in various public forums are required.
- Sensitivity to cultural diversity; ability to establish cooperative, tactful, effective working relationships with diverse individuals, ranging from senior management, administration, board members, corporate leaders, faculty, staff, volunteers, alumni, students, parents, and the general public.
- Ability to bring energy, creativity, professionalism, and community relations expertise that will substantially impact special events while enhancing the school's image and positive relationships.
- Proficiency or working fluency in languages in addition to English is preferred.
Qualifications & Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree required;
- 3-5 years experience working in enrollment management or similar sales & marketing roles;
- Appreciates diversity and demonstrates cultural competence in interactions with constituents;
- Demonstrates self-initiative and possesses a strong work ethic and a desire to grow within the field of enrollment management;
- Works well with cross-functional team members and displays a strong commitment to collaboration and innovative problem-solving;
- Excellent written, presentation, verbal, and interpersonal skills;
- Able to connect individual tasks with a larger mission;
- Proficiency with relevant software programs (Google Suite, Microsoft Office, etc);
- General knowledge of database management and experience with enrollment management SaaS platforms such as SchoolAdmin and FACTS Tuition Management a plus;
- Must demonstrate professional maturity, tact, and discretion when handling confidential information.
Salary & Benefits
- $90,475 - $104,874
