The Cloud Security Engineer will partner with both senior staff to ensure open lines of communication and clear understanding of objectives within each project. The successful candidate possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills, required for partnering with internal resources.
- Strong knowledge of on-premises and cloud systems such as hypervisors, storage systems, Active Directory, Windows and Linux servers, backup, DNS, Network segmentations and cloud networks
- Provide technical support to the project and engineering teams to ensure cloud security vulnerabilities are identified to mitigate or close any possible risk related to ongoing projects.
- Identify information security gaps and transparently document and report risk.
- Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, multi-task with minimal supervision, consistent drive, and an innate ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- This position will work with Product Owners, Applications Owners, Network and Security teams to design and deliver the best solutions for large scale infrastructure cloud solutions.
- Build effective monitoring, logging and auditing of production systems to ensure compliance with mandated compliance policies.
- Support Cloud Infrastructure: Virtual Machines, Azure Database and storage technologies (Storage Accounts, SQL Server, CosmosDB), Virtual Networks, Azure Site Recovery, Traffic Manager, Azure Automation, ARM Templates, Azure Load balancer, API Gateway Function app, logic app and Azure AD
- Continuously monitor and assess cloud infrastructure for vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and suspicious activity
- Implement security architectures for cloud cloud/hybrid systems
- Thoroughly document implementations, via technical documentation and run books
- Provide input and feedback on security architectures
- Possess a firm understanding of the offerings and capabilities within Microsoft Azure platform and Office 365
- Possess a solid understanding and have experience with systems automation platforms and technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 2-4 years’ experience with Security Architect and/or Engineering.
- 2-3 years’ experience with Azure and Office 365
- Experience with assessment, development, implementation, optimization, and documentation of a comprehensive and broad set of security technologies and processes (secure software development (Application Security), data protection, cryptography, key management, identity and access management (IAM), network security)
- Experience working with cloud security and governance tools and server virtualization technologies.
- Experience with enterprise applications (architecture, development, support, and troubleshooting).
- Experience with enterprise architecture and working as part of a cross-functional team to implement solutions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction; self-starter/self-motivated
- Technical writing experience
- Strong experience with virtual firewalls in the cloud environment

Pay: $80.00 - $85.00 per hour
