Welmaintained, Inc, is a dedicated provider of quality service, maintenance, and repair to the metal fabrication industry. Our maintenance services cover a full range of on-site services from new machine installation to emergency calls for down machines, general repairs to preventative maintenance.
We currently have openings for Field Service Technicians to join our team in western PA and southern New England for our service territory covering DE, MD, WV, PA, NJ, NY, CT, RI, MA, NH, VT, and ME. The position requires travel within the entire geographic area as well as some occasional weekly travel to government installations outside our territory. As part of the Field Services Team, you are the face of the company. Carrying yourself in a professional manner and communicating effectively with our customers and our team is imperative to producing positive outcomes for our customers. Machine up time is vital to everyone’s success.
Scope of Responsibility:
Candidates must be capable of troubleshooting and repairing metal fabrication machines in a variety of specialty areas (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic), within a manufacturing setting.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain metal fabrication machinery, including but not limited to:
o Press brakes
o Shears
o Water jets
o Saws
- Installation of new machinery at customer facilities
- Respond to emergency break downs and repairs in a timely manner.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks in accordance with the preventative maintenance programs.
- Report problems with machine(s), leaks, and other deficiencies and then request any parts needed to complete the repair.
- Consult factory technicians to help ensure the correct repair.
- Communicate finding to the customer.
- Write Completion Notes and sign off on paperwork for responsibility on work personally completed.
Position requirements/preferences:
- Must be willing to travel.
- Must provide own tools per required tool list. (other arrangements can be made for the right candidate).
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot moderately complex problems including knowledge of machines and tools, their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Proven mechanical aptitude including electrical, pneumatics and hydraulic experience.
- Self-Motivated and experience working in a manufacturing facility or similar environment.
- Proficient in reading and following basic blueprints, manuals, and mechanic and electrical schematics.
- Industrial electrical experience preferred in 3 phase motors and up to 480V
- Ability to work safely following all safety rules and regulations.
- Basic understanding of PLC control systems
- Experience operating test equipment and/or software.
- Utilizes testing equipment including multi-meters.
- Welding experience is a plus.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Valid and clean driving record (Travel Required)
- Ability to maintain consistent, punctual, and regular attendance.

Education and Experience
- Minimum of 2-3 years of well-rounded maintenance, diagnostics, and repair, or comparable experience with trade school or training
- Minimum of 2-3 years of Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably in industrial manufacturing)

Weekly Schedule:
- 7:00 AM Start Time (Monday to Friday)
- OT available after 40 hours/week
- Overnight stays required.
- Weekends (rarely required)
