The American Concrete Institute (ACI) is the leading authority and resource worldwide for the development and distribution of consensus-based standards, technical resources, and educational programs related to the concrete industry.
We are looking for an individual to provide overall technical input and support within and outside the Institute. This person will also help develop ACI products with the assistance of subject matter experts.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Support ACI committees (assist ACI Educational and Technical Committees with tasks related to developing, balloting, revising, reviewing, and publishing documents).
· Recruit webinar speakers.
· Moderate webinars (introduce speaker and handle Q&A).
· Respond to emails with technical inquiries about ACI documents.
· Document review and development.
· Review and identify education products to be included in ACI 318 PLUS and the Repair Subscription.
· Review ACI University content and develop quiz questions.
· Update and manage the frequently asked question (FAQ) webpage.
· Develop presentations; Deliver presentations to ACI Chapters (in-person and virtual).
· Liaison with outside organizations.
· Develop products such as articles, documents, courses, presentations, educational materials, and exam questions based on technical information and publications.
· Assist in product reviews; product maintenance; and development of marketing materials.
· Support adoption of ACI standards by national and international groups.
· Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Materials Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
· 4 years practical experience in concrete design, construction, repair, materials, research, or testing
· Working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
· Proficiency in software related to area of expertise.
· Proficiency in engineering mathematics and dimensional analysis.
· Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) designation desired.
· The individual in this position will be required to attend ACI conventions (2x per year), and may be required to attend other trade shows, off-site meetings, industry conferences, training events, or other business-related events which could involve multi-day or multi-week overnight travel.
· This position requires the individual to work from ACI headquarters in Farmington Hills, MI.
