Duties:
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or provider
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-payments
- Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail/faxes while acquiring pre authorizations
- Ensure the reception area is clean and organized
Skills:
- Ability to handle various administrative tasks efficiently
- Previous 2 experience working minimum at the front desk of a behavioral health clinic/practice
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on providing excellent patient care
- Understanding of electronic recordkeeping systems for efficient data management
- Phone systems: Ability to operate multi-line phone systems and handle high call volumes
Education/Experience:
-Must have at least 2 years of experience working as a front desk receptionist
-Must be comfortable working in a fast paced environment
-Must have over-the-top awesome customer service skills
