Job Summary
Maintenance Technicians are responsible for keeping the facility operating and repairing problems as soon as they are discovered. Maintenance Technicians are required to perform basic maintenance tasks and assist with a wide range of repairs related to the facility's pneumatic, electrical, robotic, and conveyor systems.
Job Responsibilities
- Performs general building maintenance functions such as office remodeling, electrical wiring, plumbing, minor repairs to restroom facilities, doors and windows, lights, locks and door mechanisms, office equipment and employee service requests.
- Provides technical support to mechanical/electrical repairs (e.g., pneumatics, conveyor belts, drives, reducers, and peripheral equipment), preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting to automated pharmacy equipment and systems.
- Hangs bulletin/white boards, reconfigures furniture, conference room set ups and provide A/V support.
- Drives continuous improvement in all automated systems to maximize accuracy, efficiency, and uptime.
- Administers inventory control of equipment spare parts.
- Ensures safety concerns, equipment reliability, preventative maintenance work orders, work station design, facility appearance, parts and service, cost efficiency, and emergency support.
- Coordinates contract suppliers' activities such as grounds work, facility repair services, janitorial services and equipment vendor services as directed
- Assists Facilities Service Tech Sr with equipment problems and implement corrective action related to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems as directed
- Other responsibilities as judgement or necessity dictate.
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or related field or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience
- 1 year work experience in building trades
- Excellent communication, organization, prioritization and project management skills
- Thorough knowledge of plumbing, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic standards and procedures
- Client and customer service focused with strong organization, technology and communication skills
- Self motivated and ability to work independent of direct supervision
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or professional certification in building trades or related field
- Comfortable in performing tasks which may be outside area of expertise
- Flexibility and ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Proven ability to work effectively with enter Real Estate and Facilities department
- Ability to work in a team atmosphere and maintain open communication
- Ability to use discretion when dealing with critical, highly sensitive and confidential information
- Strong attention to detail
Salary Range: $21.65 - $32 / Hourly
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 per hour
