Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in a psychiatric setting, including assessment, evaluation, and treatment of patients
- Administer medications and monitor their effectiveness and side effects
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Conduct therapeutic interventions and provide counseling to patients and their families
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Assist in discharge planning and coordination of follow-up care
Qualifications:
- Valid nursing license in the state of {New York}
- Minimum of {1} years of experience in psychiatric nursing
- Knowledge of psychiatric disorders, psychopharmacology, and evidence-based treatment modalities
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems (e.g., eClinicalWorks) for medical documentation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and the healthcare team
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting
- Experience with sterile processing techniques is a plus
- Familiarity with family planning and senior care is preferred
- Experience working in a nursing home or long-term care facility is desirable
