30th Judicial District Domestic Violence-Sexual Assault Alliance Inc. Seeks Executive Director
The Thirtieth Judicial District Domestic Violence-Sexual Assault Alliance (the "Alliance") seeks an Executive Director to lead a regional agency serving the seven far western counties of North Carolina. (Haywood, Jackson, Macon, Swain, Clay, Graham, and Cherokee Counties). The organization works collaboratively with the local domestic violence-sexual assault programs, area agencies and the criminal justice system to provide outreach, advocacy, mental health, and training services to empower survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
The Alliance’s direct services and training in the community are intended to “fill in the gaps” across a network of long-standing DV-SA programs in far Western North Carolina. The agency specializes to reach those who are typically under-served and disproportionately impacted by violence. Our client community is composed of older adults, veterans, persons with disabilities, immigrants, and children exposed to violence.
KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with the board of Directors to identify, create and implement strategic plans to actualize nonprofit mission and services provided.
- Identify, recruit, train and develop a talented team of Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault advocates and therapists.
- Monitor daily Agency operations and ensure employees are fulfilling their roles appropriately and provide oversight and ensure of financial practices compliance.
- Develop the organizational culture and promote transparency and collaboration throughout the Agency.
- Develop partnerships with Agency stakeholders, funding sources, and other relevant collaborative partners.
- Manage diverse staff members and clients whose experiences, cultures, and languages reflect the community(s) served by the organization.
- All aspects of grant management from solicitation, development, submission, reporting and compliance.
- Provide financial, programmatic and staff management.
- Complete direct services as grant funding requires.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Master’s degree in nonprofit management, human service field or equivalent;
- Possess demonstrated and exceptional leadership and administrative skills in managing and supervising in a relevant corporation, government agency, or a not-for-profit organization;
- Understand financial matters, including development of budgets, compliance with grant and contract requirements, and financial oversight;
- Have grant writing and fundraising experience;
- Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills;
- Have experience in building a team environment, encouraging professional development of staff, and supporting staff in the program’s work;
- Be skilled at managing limited resources and allocating resources appropriately;
- Trauma informed; familiarity with evidence-based modalities to serve survivors of domestic violence and/or sexual assault;
- Experience working with diverse cultures, people from varying socioeconomic status and survivors of domestic violence/sexual assault;
- Able to balance multiple deadlines, staff needs and successfully meet grant goals, objectives, compliance and reporting.
SALARY: $ 80,000- 85,000 D.O.E. plus benefits package.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
