Successful candidates will have excellent communication, organizational and multi-tasking skills. Moreover, possess a high level work-ethic and are self-motivated and achievement oriented. In addition, candidates should have:
· Responsible for assessing the needs of the Residents and developing, planning and executing an activity program that meets the Residents psychosocial and physical needs along with the state and federal regulations that govern recreation programs.
· Responsible for meeting the documentation regulations for new admits, MDS assessments and daily participation records.
· Compassion for and empathy for the Residents and their overall quality of life
· Enjoys team cohesion, is a team player, has a positive attitude and a strong desire to make a constructive impact on organizational excellence and most importantly to make an impact on the Resident’s overall quality of life.
Preference is for the applicant to have the TRT Certification (Therapeutic Recreation Technician Certification), however, we are willing to assist individualy in obtaining the certification. Experience working in or around an activities program in a nursing or assisted living home preferred.
Compensation: TBD based on certification, skills and experience level.
