Event Specialist
A busy downtown Santa Barbara Event Rental company is looking for an Experienced Event Specialist.
Experience with Clients Planning, Weddings. Fundraisers, and Corporate Events. REQUIRED at least 2+ Years experience.
Excellent people and phone skills. Social Media and Design/Decorating a plus.
Computer skills a must.

Pay rate based on experience
Sales Commission based on experience, customer service skills, training, and event flow knowledge & understanding.

Job Description: Position Tasks & Activities:
- Adhere and assure to company policies & procedures.
- Review and update rental contracts
- Maintain quality control standards.
- Assist accounts and weddings to coordinate events.
- Maintain price quotes and rental reservations and place in appropriate files.
- Avoid overbooking by communicating with written and verbal details.
- Provide written event price estimates according to established procedures.
- Network with other industry professionals.
- Assist with creating store promotions and displays
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, rules and regulations in written or verbal form.
- Comply with government safety requirements and other regulations and security in store.
- Attend department, store and safety meetings.
- Industry experience a plus
- Nature of the Work: To coordinate events, weddings, non-profit and corporate events.
- Working Conditions: Most of the work will be done in general office conditions. May be exposed to outside elements while conducting site inspections and overseeing coordination of events. Social Media skills required. The job requires constant interaction with internal staff and the public. Knowledge of computer systems to gather and analyze essential information for the future of the business is important.
Education, Skills & Requirements: College Degree Preferred
- Experience in the rental industry is a preferred.
- Must maintain a professional personal appearance.
- Must possess sales and customer relation skills.
- Computer knowledge is preferred. Training on rental software will be provided.
- Must be able to speak English clearly and write legibly. The ability to speak other languages is a plus.
- Must be able to pass company drug screen.
- Reports to: General Manager.

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
