Job Title: Systems Test Engineer (Night and Weekend Shifts)
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Systems Test Engineer to support our integrated test operations during night and weekend shifts. The role involves managing the configuration of test hardware/software, running diagnostics, and troubleshooting integration issues. You will assist test operators in preparing for and conducting tests.
Why We Need You:
To accelerate our schedule, we run tests around the clock with teams across the globe. You will provide onsite support to various test teams working on our component and system Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) setups, including our Iron Bird test asset. The ideal candidate will be proactive, autonomous, hands-on, and eager to solve problems.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with various test teams (including remote) to set up and troubleshoot integrated test assets.
- Create and maintain detailed operation and training materials.
- Document configuration changes and test activities in a log book.
- Log deficiencies and participate in resolution and disposition activities.
- Configure hardware, software, and simulation on different HIL test stations as requested.
- Maintain HIL test stations, operation manuals, configuration management, and calibration logs.
- Load software and firmware updates on aircraft equipment and avionics systems.
- Set up and configure Linux and Windows computers (BIOS, software installation).
- Diagnose hardware and software issues on the HILs.
- Organize the HIL lab, implement inventory and tool control.
- Coordinate routine maintenance on the HIL test stations.
Qualifications:
- B.S. or M.S. in Aerospace, Electrical, Software, or related engineering field.
- 3+ years of relevant work experience.
- Proficient in Python and/or C software scripting.
- Skilled in using Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Experience with Serial Protocols (RS485, RS422), Ethernet, and networking.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Desired Skills:
- Experience setting up and working in a lab environment.
- Proficient with National Instrument (NI) hardware and software (Veristand, Labview, PXI).
- Strong fundamentals and hands-on experience in analog and/or power electronics design.
- Ability to interpret PCB schematics, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), and component datasheets.
- Experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and tools such as CANalyzer and bus analyzers.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup environment.

Pay: $60.00 - $90.00 per hour
