Registered Nurse - Dialysis
Duties:
- Provide direct patient care in a dialysis setting
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
- Monitor and assess patients' vital signs and response to treatment
- Perform dialysis procedures using aseptic technique
- Educate patients and their families about kidney disease, dialysis treatment, and self-care techniques
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Document patient information, treatment plans, and progress in medical records
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a dialysis setting
- Proficient in medical imaging, DME (durable medical equipment), and aseptic technique
- Familiarity with assisted living facilities and providing care to patients with chronic kidney disease
- Knowledge of coding and ICD-9 (International Classification of Diseases, 9th Revision) for accurate documentation and billing purposes
- Experience in catheterization for vascular access during dialysis procedures
- Strong understanding of medical records management and maintaining patient confidentiality
- Ability to accurately measure and interpret vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, and temperature
- Familiarity with cardiac catheterization procedures and post-procedure care
