Job Title: Field Service Technician/Engineer
Location: Phoenix, AZ and Indiana/Great Lakes Region
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Field Service Technician/Engineer to join our dynamic team. This full-time role involves machine installation, troubleshooting, repairs, customer support, and training. The ideal candidate is adaptable, able to handle multiple tasks, and comfortable working in both office and factory settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to safety protocols and company policies.
- Conduct detailed machine audits and prepare comprehensive reports.
- Assist customers with remote and hands-on troubleshooting using various communication methods and technical manuals.
- Provide detailed, value-added input to improve customer performance.
- Maintain accurate customer contact records in the ERP system.
- Ensure timely and accurate feedback to customers.
- Lead equipment installation and coordinate activities among contractors, peers, and customer personnel.
- Conduct training sessions for operators and maintenance technicians.
- Manage and de-escalate stressful situations to achieve optimal technical and operational solutions.
- Travel 50-75% of the time, domestically and internationally.
Qualifications:
- AS/BS in Electrical Engineering preferred; other relevant degrees with applicable experience considered.
- Experience with corrugated paperboard equipment is a plus.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and technical components.
- Proficient in using machine manuals, drawings, and schematics.
- Experience with high & low-voltage circuits, PLCs, HMIs, pneumatics, hydraulics, electromechanical systems, and gear trains.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Excellent organizational and critical thinking skills.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Bilingual skills in Japanese, Spanish, or Portuguese are advantageous.
- Valid passport with no travel restrictions.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
