This is base plus 9 additional days based on FTE, Enhancement Funds, and District Directed DaysParticipate as a member of the Building Assessment Team in the assessment and evaluation of students.- Conduct diagnostic speech/language assessments, identify needs, prepare therapy plans, and participate in eligibility and IEP conferences.- Based upon student assessment, develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).- Provide therapeutic services to students with identified Communication Disorders, including case management for communication-disordered only students.- Work collaboratively with special education and general education teams in developing and delivering speech-language services to support communication skills relevant to educational performance.- Monitor students progress in therapy and generate progress reports and Medicaid billing as appropriate.- Consult and communicate with other professionals and students families regarding the needs of students.- Work effectively and cooperatively with parents, teachers, administrators, support staff, and the community.- Understand and use a variety of assistive technologies and programs.- Participate in personal ongoing professional development.- Maintain student records and confidentiality.- Meet District, State, and Federal timelines and legal requirements.- Other duties as assigned.
