Our Logistics Coordinator is pivotal in orchestrating and arranging tasks for our logistics department, nurturing reliable connections with essential transport carriers, and ensuring the prompt scheduling and booking of loads at optimal rates.
LOCATION
Onsite in Ft. Wayne
COMPENSATION
This position has a competitive compensation package that is a combination of base salary plus profit sharing paid quarterly after 1 year of employment.
- Research, vet, and process trusted regional and nationwide transportation carriers to add to our vendor portfolio, for trucks and trailers.

Book and track loads to ensure timely delivery.

Negotiate contracted pricing and work to reduce our overall cost to transport per mile.

Confirm carrier capabilities before confirming loads, including trailer length and weight capacity, height restrictions, etc.

Track loads to ensure on-time delivery, which will entail phone calls, text messages, and email communication with brokers, drivers, and end-users receiving the freight.

Work closely with sales and our Logistics Department to allocate resources appropriately for delivery and return freight. Ensuring quick responses and excellent customer service.

Communicate to the sales team about any delivery or pick-up delays.

Generating transport orders in PTR’s transportation booking system.

Assist AP with reconciling weekly transportation purchase orders.

Assist the Logistics Director in compiling data for the executive team’s monthly reporting requirements.
