The Royal Oak Brewery is the first brewery in Oakland County! We have been making amazing food and beer since 1995 and we are looking for a new Kitchen Manager to work with our Executive Chef. The ROB is known for amazing food in a scratch kitchen. Everything is made in house and to order. The Kitchen Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant's kitchen, including managing food production, preparing and presenting high-quality dishes, and ensuring the kitchen team operates in a efficient, safe and clean manner. The Kitchen Manager reports to the Executive Chef and plays a crucial role in maintaining the standards of the restaurant.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Manage and coordinate the daily operations of the kitchen, including food production and service.
- Plan and organize the work of the kitchen team, including delegating tasks, setting goals and standards, and providing feedback and support.
- Monitor food production and ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Maintain food safety and hygiene standards in the kitchen, including adhering to local health codes and regulations.
- Order and manage inventory of kitchen supplies, equipment, and ingredients.
- Monitor kitchen budget and control costs, including managing food and labor costs.
- Participate in menu planning and development, including suggesting new dishes and specials.
- Ensure that the kitchen team is trained and developed, including providing ongoing training and coaching.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and front-of-house team to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests.
Kitchen management experience is required. Position is hourly and be a mostly evening position.
