Our therapists are the heartbeat of our team. We treat children from birth to 21 with various diagnoses, including but not limited to articulation and phonological disorders, oral motor disorders, feeding disorders, autism spectrum disorders, apraxia, expressive language delays/disorders, etc.

Diverse Settings: In the first couple of years, you'll primarily work in school contracts, gradually incorporating more clinic work. Some therapists choose to focus on early intervention (EI) services, others enjoy a mix of school, clinic, and EI. Please note, full-time clinic positions are not available at this time.

Important Notes:
- Experience a blend of school contracts and clinic work.
- School contracts are tailored to your skills, preferences, and location.
- Contracts typically span the entire school year and some include extended school year.
- Full-time clinic roles are rare gems.
- Early intervention services are available but not mandatory.
Your Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat a variety of speech and language disorders.
- Develop tailored treatment plans for each child.
- Conduct standardized testing for pediatric populations.
- Participate in Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), setting and monitoring goals.
- Provide speech and language services using various models to support student success.
- Recommend and utilize assistive technologies to enhance student communication.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals.
- Complete daily documentation and billing efficiently.
- Attend quarterly speech and language team meetings.
- Build rapport with patients and their families.
- Communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- Work alongside PTs and OTs to expand your skills using Evidence-Based Practices.
What You Bring:
- Licensure: State (IL) SLP-CCC and Illinois PEL (teaching certification).
- Education: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Bonus Points: Experience with school-aged children and flexibility for some afternoons and early evenings.
