Position Title: Therapist

Essential Functions:
- Assesses or defines the strengths or needs of consumers.
- Directly provides and coordinates clinical and social services that are problem focused and build on family and community strengths.
- Works in a team context with Mended Reeds Staff, DJFS Staff, Juvenile and or Municipal Court Staff, and other serving systems.
- Carries out utilization review and quality assurance activities under the direction of the Executive Director or designee.
- Maintains necessary documentation, participates in program evaluation, attends team and program planning meetings, cross-systems training, and acquires knowledge of community resources.
- Provides BH/CM/CPST services as defined by the Ohio Department of Mental Health & Addiction Services
- Meets billing productivity (minimum of 50% of available hours worked) as established by Mended Reeds Mental Health
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Supports billing productivity expectation
- Uses evidenced based practices and outcome measures
- Appropriately assesses and formulates diagnoses of emotional and mental health disorders including substance abuse in accordance with the latest DSM/ICD coding
- Supports timely completion of charting requirements including progress notes entry, service plan reviews and other items due as indicated by EHR system
- Supports documentation requirements of clinical standards including overlaps, reworks of documentation and use of clinically appropriate wording and format
- Adheres to ethical and professional standards
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or other related degree in the human service area (if licensure is available with a bachelor’s degree)
- Master’s degree, preferred but not required
- LSW or LPC, or active CT or SWT status is minimal required licensure (must be able to bill CPST at minimum)
- Two years related experience working with children and adolescents preferred
- Able to effectively communicate through verbal/written expression
- Must have vehicle, driver’s license, and car insurance, and
- Must meet Accreditation qualifications for provision of therapeutic assessment.
- Must be 21 years of age, pass drug screen, all required background checks
